Family Literacy Night was filled with many exciting grade level activities that were enjoyed by parents and students alike. This year, Tarrant County College worked with our teachers to bring "Falling In Love With Books" to our students and their families. Our wonderful teachers and staff welcomed over 300 parents and children with refreshments and cookies as they made their way down to the cafeteria and gym. Families were greeted by Toro the TCC mascot and Pete the Castleberry High School mascot. The cafeteria had an iPad station and netbooks, students were eager to show parents all the new technology resources they are using in the classroom. The gym was transformed in to an activity center with several stations to choose from. Synonym Bingo, Cup Tower Challenge and STREAM Initiative Make and Take. Last but not least was our very own Book Walk, similar to the old fashioned Cake Walk. Students went away with their prizes of their choice.

Thank you to all our wonderful parents and teachers who made this night a success for every student to enjoy! Creating wonderful memories rich in academics as well as creativity for all, is what makes our school and community number one!
