Hour of CodeNow a monthly event at A.V. Cato, Late Night @ the Library was held on December 5, 2016. It coincided with Computer Science Education Week and #Hour of Code, where millions of kids in over 180 countries took the Hour of Code challenge. Currently, an initiative of the Castleberry ISD, students at all elementary schools participate in weekly STREAM (Science, Technology, reading, Art and Math) activities using programs through Code. org, a sponsor of the Hour of Code challenge.

During the Late Night @ the Library event, families enjoyed learning how to code fuzzballs with basic coding activities on the computers, challenging Daisy the Dinosaur to build her own path on the iPads, several activities on the code.org website, and driving a motorized ball (Sphero) around a track with a specific directional code.
