Virtual Valentine’s Day Card
Task:
Students were asked to write a friendly letter to other third grade students in Colorado.
They wrote the letter giving some information about themselves and asked a couple of questions to the student they were writing. Then, a peer reviewed the letter. Next, students used Chatterpix and photographed an animal that they had created using various heart shapes. Finally, they recorded themselves reading the letter.

Reflection:
What went well? Students were very engaged in the project because they were collaborating outside of Texas. Students did a great job of meeting the requirements of the rubric and also formulated great questions to ask their Coloradoan Valentines.
What could be improved for next time? I would have started this project earlier so that there would be time for the students to Skype - I also wish that I would have stayed connected and continued to collaborate throughout the year.
