Collaborative Technology Infused Lesson with Story Bird
Activity:
Helping my students to enjoy writing and avoid problems about choosing a topic to start a writing, I introduced my students to an internet site called " Story Bird". On this site, students can choose from a variety of pictures and write about it, or even create their own story books of what is happening in the picture. They also have the option of creating poems by choosing words and put them on the picture. This activity was included as part of the Daily 5 reading rotations.

Reflection:
My students really enjoyed creating their own story books on Story Bird. Many students showed that they know how to apply the skills learned during the writing, grammar and convention lessons. I could see some students helping others with the spelling and use correctly of words. Some students began to share their books with their classmates.
