Task:
In this lesson students were given the chance to choose a one or two step Multiplication and Division Word Problem. They could decided on how to explain the problem to their peers. Then, students paired up with another peer to see if they could solve the other person's question. This student decided to use the video recorder on the iPad to explain his thinking.
Reflection:
What went well? Students enjoyed being able to decide how to explain their question. They also liked being able to see each other's product displayed on the piece of technology the student chose. When students were with their partner they were very engaged and collaborated to solve the problems.
What could be improved for next time? I intend to use this as a way to see if students comprehend different skills throughout the next year.
