Dear Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to the new A.V. Cato Elementary! School will begin on August 27th. We are so excited for the start of a new and exciting year in Kindergarten!
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Megan Metz and I am honored to be your child’s kindergarten teacher. This is my third year of teaching in Castleberry ISD and I am so excited to be here! Before coming to CISD, I completed my B.S. and Master of Arts in Teaching degree at the University of Arkansas.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.
I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, email me ([email protected]), or call me at school. I will also do my part by sending out a newsletter once a month to update you on what we have been doing in class as well as things that are coming up. In addition, I will be sending out a homework letter to let you know what your child should be working on at home. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, or email you (if an email address is provided). Please remember to check your child’s daily folder and initial it everyday. Here you will find the daily behavior chart and any notes that we will be sending home.
The greatest thing you can do for your child during this year is to work with them at home on a daily basis. Practice and hard work is the key to success! I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child!
