Summary:
Students were to
take a picture of a real world 3D shape in the classroom using the
ChatterPix app on the ipad. They worked in collaboration with partners
and had to correctly name the shape and demonstrate 2D components of the
3D shape. In addition, students were to record their voice on the app
explaining the components of the 3D shape. This was done as a review
activity after a week of covering the sphere, cone, cube and cylinder.

Reflection: Students were excited to use the ChatterPix app. They were
eager to find a 3D shape in the classroom. I saw a higher level of
engagement with this activity. Students enjoyed listening to the
recording of their voices identifying the shape and stating the components of the shape. One thing I would improve next time includes ensuring the iPads are updated. One of the iPads began to update in the middle of the activity, so students were unable to use it.
