Pre-K Objectives

Math

  • Count to 30.

  • Recognize numbers 0-10.

  • Count and make groups of ten.

  • Recognize the 11 basic colors (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, brown, orange, black, white, pink and grey).

  • Recognize the 6 basic shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval and rhombus).

ELA

  • Know 20 Upper case letters.

  • Know 20 Lower case letters.

  • Produce 10 letter sounds and recognize 20

  • Recognize a rhyme and produce a rhyme.

  • Increase vocabulary with use of books.

  • Write the first name and practice their last name.

Use kind words.

Have all supplies ready for class.

Do what your teacher asks immediately.

Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

Start working immediately, work during work times.

 

 

Classroom Discipline Consequences:

  1. Purple- Amazing Day

  2. Blue- Great Choices

  3. Green- Ready to Learn (Every student begins the day on green.) (You can move up or down the scale.)

  4. Yellow- Think About it (-5 minutes of recess or stations)

  5. Orange- Last Chance (-10 minutes of recess or stations)

  6. Red- Teacher’s Choice (loss of all recess time, phone call to parent, office visit)

SOMETIMES THE OFFENSE MAY BE SEVERE ENOUGH TO GO STRAIGHT TO THE 7TH CONSEQUENCE (FIGHTING, CURSING, DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR)
