One class in each of the lower grade levels participated in the Fire Safety Art Contest for our River Oaks Fire Department. Students drew pictures depicting the students being rescued by fireman. We learned that 911 is our number to call when we need a firefighter! The student artists at A.V. Cato drew smoke going up and learned that when there is a fire they go low to the ground. Our Junior Firefighters will represent River Oaks Fire Department with an official uniform t-shirt. If you see one of our Junior Firefighters in your community congratulate them on a job well done as a Junior Firefighter artist!
