Dear A.V. Cato Families,
Welcome to the start of another amazing year at A.V. Cato Elementary! If you are new to our campus, we are so excited for you to join our learning community. Communication is vital to our success. In order to ensure we are able to contact you, please make sure your phone numbers and email are current in Skyward. If you have a Facebook account, please follow our page.
While beginning the year in a remote learning setting may bring some challenges for our families and school employees, Castleberry ISD has the following initiatives in place to support digital learning: Digital Equity 4 All, One-to-One Student computers, and the utilization of Canvas as a district-wide Learning Management System. These initiatives will help to ensure all students have access to a quality education while they learn from home.
Currently, all CISD students enrolled in grades PK through 1st are issued an iPad while students in grades 2nd through 12th are issued either a Chromebook or a Windows device in which they may take home to complete assigned school work. Device distribution will take place on Saturday, August 8th.
Visit the Remote Learning Technical Support page to learn about the technical support that is available to you and your child. If the virtual help desk is unable to resolve your device issue, Mr. Gideon, AVC Assistant Principal, will be our campus contact. Please contact him at [email protected] or call the school at (817) 252- 2400.
Please know that the health and safety of our students is our number one priority. We are currently working on plans for when we may offer in person instruction or remote learning for our students and families. We appreciate you partnering with us to ensure your student’s success.
Thank you for your patience and support as we prepare to provide all students with quality educational lessons and resources for remote learning from home.
Sincerely,
Michelle Strambler
Principal
